Veterinarian & Board Certified Veterinary Dentist and Oral Surgeon
Dr. Wade Gingerich
Dr. Gingerich was born and raised in South West Florida. He is a true native at heart and loves the outdoors. As the son of a veterinarian, Wade developed an interest for the welfare of animals at an early age and decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
After receiving his veterinary degree (DVM) from the University of Florida in 2003, Dr. Gingerich entered private practice for six years. During his time in general practice, Dr. Gingerich realized the need for increased levels of oral care for animals. In 2009, he returned to graduate school at the University of Minnesota and entered a three-year residency in dentistry and oral surgery (DAVDC). In 2012, Dr. Gingerich successfully completed the residency and passed a rigorous three-day examination to become a diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College.
After spending seven years in the Midwest, Dr. Gingerich decided to return to Florida to provide exceptional oral care for companion animals in the community where he grew up. His compassion for all animals and the bond they share with their caregivers is evident in his daily practices. This has transcended into the trusting and caring relationships he has with all his clients and their pets.
Veterinarian & Board Certified Veterinary Anesthesiologist
Dr. Daniel Boruta
Danielle has been the Practice Manager at PDC since 2015 and helped it through many stages of growth! She is originally from Dayton, Ohio but spent a lot of time on Ft. Myers Beach with her family growing up. This is what lead her to moving to the area in 2005. Prior to working in veterinary medicine, Danielle worked in the beauty industry as a hair stylist and educator. She attended Aveda Frederic’s Institute in Cincinnati where she completed a cosmetology program in addition to a salon management program prior to earning certifications in each. Danielle feels there is so much to gain by working closely with people and learning about all the different paths and experiences they’ve had in life. Her client care expertise and love for anything business allows her to to wear many hats within Pet Dental Center! She enjoys attending continued education so that she can surround herself with the newest information in regards to managing veterinary medical facilities. Danielle came to know PDC the same way most of you have, as a client! She strives to make your experiences with your loved ones as positive, warm and thorough as possible. It’s important to her that our team and guests feel taken care of.
When not at PDC, Danielle spends a lot of time volunteering at anywhere from the library, to beach clean up, to her church. She then enjoys being outdoors with her husband (especially on the water), cooking from scratch (the way her mom and great grandmother taught her) and using her creative side to dabble in interior design. She is also totally fine with an occasional “Netflix and chill” day with her pups, Ginger and Jada!
Paige was born and raised in Central Florida. She made the move down to Fort Myers after high school to complete her B.S. in Biology at Florida Gulf Coast University. During Paige’s time at FGCU, she worked alongside a herpetologist in a research effort to study invasive frog populations in a conservation setting! How cool is that?! She decided to start her career in veterinary medicine at an emergency and specialty hospital. Paige began working alongside a Board Certified Surgical Oncologist where her interest in anesthesia was peaked. She is going back to school and currently working towards becoming certified as a Veterinary Technician and has hopes to become a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Anesthesia in the future.
What attracted Pet Dental Center to bring Paige onboard was her positive personality and her quick ability to learn. She is inquisitive and wants to make sure she understands the “why”, not just how to execute tasks. These characteristics make her an awesome addition to our anesthesia team. It also doesn’t hurt that she truly thinks every animal that walks in the door is perfect! This obviously includes her energetic German Shepherd, Wren, and a Hemingway Cat, Ollie! (We totally agree, Ollie really is perfect)
Veterinary Dental Technician, LVT
Jodie was born and raised in northwest Illinois. She did not always know that she wanted to be a veterinary technician, but with a background in human medicine and a compassion for animals, the choice became increasingly clear! Jodie decided furry patients were her patient type of choice and she went back to school to become a licensed veterinary technician. She passed her board exams in 2011 while living in Rockford, Illinois and moved with her family to Florida in 2014.
Jodie has worked in small animal practice since obtaining her degree. Through experience, she found her passion for veterinary dentistry and recognized the impact oral health can have on our pets’ lives. While Jodie continued to seek out education pertaining to dentistry, she found Pet Dental Center. Boy, are we glad she did! We were happy to welcome Jodie to our team and help her pursue her journey of becoming a full time Veterinary Dental Technician.
When Jodie is not busy cleaning and polishing to your pets pearly whites, she is busy at home! She and her husband have a teenage daughter and FOUR four-legged children! Her two dogs may disagree, but the two kitties really run the roost.
Client Care Specialist & Certified Veterinary Assistant
Ashton was born and raised in Indiana. She grew up on a farm where she cared for her dogs, cats and horses! She has always had a passion for animals and started volunteering at the local humane society at 16. When she was a senior in high school, Ashton became a Certified Veterinary Assistant through the AVMA! She then attended Harrison College in Indianapolis and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology.
Ashton moved to Florida in 2015 and continued her career in Veterinary Medicine. There was a 7-year-old Yorky she met while working at a previous job that’s owner had been saying was “slowing down” and “not acting himself”. Ashton helped discover that the owner had not learned about oral care for her pet and the pet was in desperate need of a dental procedure. She was so happy when the owner came back after the procedure and reported that her fur baby was “Like a new dog! Who plays more now and is no longer having trouble eating his food.” She is excited to help educate other pet owners on the importance of oral healthcare and the benefits it can provide their pets!
We are so happy to have Ashton on our team at Pet Dental Center. She is an all around team player and we absolutely love that about her! We do have to share her with her husband in between their beach days and searching for shark teeth, but we’re ok with that. She is always smiling and likes to laugh, which you will quickly learn when you talk to her on the phone or meet her upon your arrival.
Client Care Specialist
Where to start?! Dennis’ heart for service has taken him from being a Sergeant of Marines to leading medical mission teams in the slums of Nairobi for three years. He is a Maryland native and enjoyed raising his two sons and daughter on our north east coast. Dennis received a BS from the University of Maryland and was able to utilize that in combination with his genuine love for people to offer great relationship building as a sales representative.
We came to know Dennis and his wife through their phenomenal pet sitting service! Feel free to ask him about it if you’re in need! The care and attention they offer when trusted with your love ones is unmatched and we knew those same traits would make him an excellent candidate for our client care team at Pet Dental Center. Oorah!
Veterinary Technician, CVT
Carlee has lived in southwest Florida since she was 11 years old. She moved with her family to Texas for a short stint but found her way back to the sunshine state and we are so glad she did! Carlee had been working in veterinary medicine for four years prior to joining the PDC team. She worked in two general practices and also attended Heritage Institute where she graduated with her Associates Degree in Veterinary Science. Carlee saw the positive impact that dentistry made on patients while working in general care and wanted to know more about the specialty side of veterinary medicine. It was only fitting that she begin working and growing with a veterinary dentistry practice! Since Carlee has began working at PDC, she has acquired her CVT (woot, woot!) and is continuing to grow in SO many ways. We love Carlee’s inquisitive mindset and the amazing questions it prompts her to ask! She is most interested in becoming a Veterinary Dental Technician and we are excited to watch her grow into that role quickly! When she worked with a doctor in Texas on both large and small animals, he helped her understand the value of continued education and what a crucial component it will be in her career path.
Carlee has two beautiful children at home that give her a dose of being both a boy mom and a girl mom. They enjoy spending time in the sun and loving on their one-eyed Boston Terrier, Trixy!
Lindsay brings peppy, pawsitive lovin’ to our pets and pet parents, and we are here for it! She was born and raised in West Bend, Wisconsin but recently decided (like most smart folks) to leave the cold and move on down to the sunshine. Lindsay graduated from the Veterinary Assistant/Technician program at Milwaukee Career College in 2014. She most recently worked in a general care clinic and rotated through filling all technician roles during their dentistry procedures. This included monitoring anesthesia, performing cleanings, taking radiographs and assisting the veterinarian during surgical procedures. Prior to working there, she had worked at an emergency clinic and spent a few years doing canine reproduction! Super interesting, right?! We are excited to have Lindsay on our team as a dental technician and are confident that you’ll appreciate her friendly personality while she helps go over your pets’ oral healthcare in the exam room.
Another fun Lindsay fact is that she is an identical twin! She stays close with her large family and they are not sad about now having a relative in Florida to visit. Lindsay’s love for the beach and being on the water keep her outdoors during most of her free time.
