Owner, Veterinarian & Board Certified Veterinary Dentist and Oral Surgeon
Dr. Wade Gingerich
Dr. Gingerich was born and raised in South West Florida. He is a true native at heart and loves the outdoors. As the son of a veterinarian, Wade developed an interest for the welfare of animals at an early age and decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
After receiving his veterinary degree (DVM) from the University of Florida in 2003, Dr. Gingerich entered private practice for six years. During his time in general practice, Dr. Gingerich realized the need for increased levels of oral care for animals. In 2009, he returned to graduate school at the University of Minnesota and entered a three-year residency in dentistry and oral surgery (DAVDC). In 2012, Dr. Gingerich successfully completed the residency and passed a rigorous three-day examination to become a diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College.
After spending seven years in the Midwest, Dr. Gingerich decided to return to Florida to provide exceptional oral care for companion animals in the community where he grew up. His compassion for all animals and the bond they share with their caregivers is evident in his daily practices. This has transcended into the trusting and caring relationships he has with all his clients and their pets.
Veterinarian & Resident in Dentistry and Oral Surgery
Dr. Ron Altman
Dr. Altman is originally from Montreal, Canada, where he earned a degree in business at McGill University. He had plans to become an accountant like his father, however, shortly after graduation he made a life changing decision and decided to follow his passion and pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Ron received his veterinary degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1999. He began his career in upstate New York at an emergency veterinary hospital where he stayed for five years before moving to Atlanta, Georgia and working as an associate veterinarian in general practice. During his time in Atlanta he met his wife Elise and welcomed their son Jordan. Four years later Ron and his family decided to relocate to Colorado where he purchased a veterinary hospital, doggy daycare and boarding facility in the mountain community of Evergreen.
Dr. Altman has always been committed to all aspects of veterinary medicine but quickly developed a special interest in the importance of dentistry and oral surgery. He spent a great deal of his “spare” time studying veterinary dentistry while also maintaining a full schedule at his practice. After eight years, the Altmans decided to return to his wife’s hometown of Naples. This move has allowed him to pursue two of his dreams; becoming a Board Certified Veterinary Dentist, and a fisherman! Dr. Altman is very excited to have joined Dr. Gingerich and the team at Pet Dental Center for his studies. He looks forward to expanding on what he does best, practicing veterinary medicine and being an extended family member to his clients and their pets.
